Now, every time you have a RAR file that you need to open, simply double click the RAR file and the Unarchiver will open it for you.

RAR Expander is another favorite (It’s icon is handsome, too). Right now, I use Unarchiver, a personal favorite for the simple reason that I like the icon, a nicely rendered corrugated shipping box. I’ve tried these apps and can say that they all work well in OSX Lion and in Apple’s older operating systems on PPC and Intel processors.
